Debbie B. Adam – Organisation Development and Change Management Professional
Debbie is a Management Consultant with over 11 years’ experience in organisational transformation with speciality focus on change management, strategic planning, communication and process improvement. She has worked with a range of local, regional and international organisations in both state/public and private sectors across Trinidad and Tobago and in several CARICOM states. Her consulting expertise in organisational development include advising clients on initiatives that enable their businesses to streamline the structure, operations, workforce and processes to address internal inefficiencies, and/or to identify and plan for potential growth points.
Launching her career in risk management, governance and internal audit, Debbie was responsible for leading teams primarily in operational and financial effectiveness reviews for the banking and insurance industry, including restructuring and reorganisation work for a major regional conglomerate. Debbie recently supported the Government of Barbados’ Public Sector Smart Energy Programme as part of its national energy policy in the areas of capacity building and institutional strengthening. This included diagnosing and mapping key stakeholders, determining functional cooperation between agencies to achieve mandates and recommending organisational restructuring for increased functionality. Similar work was done for the strategic reorganisation of Barbados’ national oil company.
Within the change management remit, Debbie is currently providing consulting support to the Change Management Team of Republic Bank for a major conversion project across the Eastern Caribbean regionally. She also acted as an independent change management consultant lending support to a Trinidadian-based merchant banking conglomerate for its core banking system conversion project. Debbie is Prosci-certified in change management.
