Managing Director, Enterprise & Innovation
Philip Lewis is an experienced Executive with a focus on finance, strategy and business development. Philip has used his 20+ years of corporate expertise to successfully deliver on business needs such as financial modelling, marketing strategy, product development, governance frameworks and management training. He also led the start-up of several business ventures including Northpoint Consulting Inc, an ICT consultancy focusing on telecommunications and IT services. Philip co-founded LCI Consulting Inc, a boutique management consultancy firm of which he is a Managing Director and Lead Consultant, Enterprise & Innovation Services.
Philip holds a Master’s of Engineering degree and started his career by designing and implementing telecommunication networks across the Caribbean region. Philip transitioned into senior commercial roles on attaining his Master’s of Business Administration (with distinction) from Durham Business School. Roles included Vice-President, Business Development with responsibility for regional sales teams, and Vice-President, Strategy responsible for programme management of future lines of business, including mergers and acquisitions.
Philip spent his early years in the British Territorial Army and the Barbados Defence Force (reserves) as an army officer, commissioned at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK. He is a past lecturer in Telecommunications Regulation & Policy at the University of The West Indies (UWI) and is a Past-President of the Barbados ICT Professionals Association (BIPA). Philip is a speaker at investor forums in the Caribbean, Canada and the US and continues to work with various agencies to develop entrepreneurial ecosystems. He is an avid squash player and an enthusiastic although frustrated golfer.
