Job Overview:

The Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator (CCSA) is seeking a Partnerships Manager to help secure the financial resources needed to advance its mission and expand its impact across the Caribbean and beyond. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will design and execute fundraising strategies, develop compelling funding proposals, strengthen donor relationships, and support ethical, compliant fundraising practices across CCSA’s operations, programmes and initiatives.

Description of Duties

The Partnerships Manager will research, prepare and submit proposals and applications for restricted and unrestricted funding, while cultivating donor relationships, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting sound fundraising governance.

Fundraising Strategy & Donor Engagement

  • Develop strong knowledge of CCSA’s strategy, programmes, funding needs and donor landscape.
  • Identify, assess and pursue funding opportunities from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies and other partners.
  • Design and deliver fundraising strategies, campaigns and donor engagement activities aligned to organisational goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with current and prospective donors, including through events, speaking engagements and programme activities.

Grant Writing & Proposal Development

  • Maintain strong knowledge of CCSA’s programmes and initiatives to advocate effectively for funding.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather data, budgets and supporting information for proposals.
  • Manage the pre-award grant process, including proposal planning, budget development, submission and follow-up.
  • Prepare, edit and submit high-quality grant proposals and funding applications, meeting agreed pipeline targets for volume and value.
  • Identify relevant funding opportunities for CCSA partners and project owners, and maintain accurate updates on application status.

Donor Data Management & Reporting and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate donor and fundraising records.
  • Monitor donation trends, engagement activity and fundraising performance.
  • Provide regular updates to the Chief Executive Officer on fundraising progress, grant activity and donor engagement metrics.
  • Ensure fundraising activities are legally compliant, ethical and aligned with relevant industry standards.
  • Support the onboarding of new donors by providing relevant organisational information.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship Management

  • Work with internal teams to develop clear, persuasive fundraising materials, newsletters and digital content.
  • Strengthen relationships with partners, donors and stakeholders to support funding opportunities and collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
  • At least three (3) years’ progressive experience in fundraising, grant management or administration, with proven strengths in successful grant writing.
  • Experience in a climate-focused non-profit, development aid, consulting or similarly mission-driven organisation would be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the grant lifecycle and not-for-profit or charitable fundraising information sources.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Experience using Salesforce NPSP and Asana would be desirable.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive writing, presentation and stakeholder engagement.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and coordinate activities across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong technological orientation and ability to quickly learn tools used in a virtual office environment.
