Role Overview: The Senior Manager will contribute to the overall success of the team by effectively delegating work to support staff, leveraging Tailored Tax Solutions’ methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery. This role is responsible for maintaining clear communication with management on work progress, proactively identifying and resolving client challenges, and liaising with clients as directed to ensure seamless service execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee client engagements, ensuring acceptance requirements are met and engagement letters are properly executed.
  • Review corporate and personal tax returns, VAT filings, and payroll compliance engagements within assigned portfolio.
  • Ensure all engagements are completed accurately, on time, and supported by proper documentation.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and regulators as needed.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, provide technical tax training, and deliver clear performance feedback to staff.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, manage expectations, and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Oversee billing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance internal processes.
  • Accurately record time spent on engagements and report progress to management.
  • Consult with the Managing Director on complex or advisory matters involving potential liability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field (professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, LEC, or LL.M. would be an asset)
  • Relevant experience in tax compliance or related professional services, preferably within Barbados and/or Saint Lucia.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, treaties, and compliance requirements for both jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to analyse financial statements and apply relevant tax legislation to prepare computations, returns, and provisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent document management skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver timely, high-quality work while maintaining confidentiality and client trust.

Other Requirements:

  • The Senior Manager may be required to work additional hours during peak periods, particularly in the weeks leading up to filing and client deadlines. As such, scheduling of leave may be limited during these times.
