Mr. Sterling Quan Soon
Organisational Transformation Consultant
Mr. Sterling Quan Soon is an organisational transformation consultant with over 18 years of wide-ranging experience within the public and private sector, including digital transformation, organisational design, strategic planning, process reengineering, project management and change management. His experience is primarily based in Trinidad and Tobago but also includes working on and leading projects for organisations in Barbados, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Guyana, and the U.S.A., as both an internal and external consultant.
With a career foundation in software development and business systems analysis, Mr. Quan Soon has considerable experience working in various capacities on digital transformation initiatives, including large Core Banking System and Human Resources Information System implementations. That enables him to leverage his knowledge and experience not only on advising on digitalisation strategies, but also on providing fit for purpose organisational design and human capital recommendations for digital transformation success.
As an experienced change management practitioner, Mr. Quan Soon is well-equipped to work alongside organisations’ leaders to craft and manage the strategies and activities necessary to ensure employee buy-in and readiness for strategic changes. In particular, as a change management lead on several digital transformation projects, he has helped organisations to identify gaps in structure, culture, resources, and capabilities, which could hinder the realisation of their intended strategic benefits.
Mr. Quan Soon has also been a key consultant or engagement lead on strategic planning exercises in the private and public sector. To ensure successful strategy execution, he has also been instrumental in the creation and rollout of Balanced Scorecard or similar frameworks at regional financial and governmental institutions.
Mr. Quan Soon holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of West Indies, as well as a Master of Business Administration (with a focus on leadership and strategic change) from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School), City University of London. He is also a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner.
